A stitch in time and in a proper manner can help you mend your torn leather jacket. Here is how you can deal with this problem.
Steps To Fix A Torn Leather Jacket:
• You must first displace the torn edges of the leather jacket to their original initial location using the dull side of the sewing needle.
• You have to keep the boundaries of the tear flat. For this purpose, you can make use of a cellophane tape.
• You should make sure that the fabric is not damaged. So you must try placing the tape on the inside of the leather jacket. Before placing the tape on the jacket, make sure to eliminate its stickiness.
• You must then turn the leather jacket inside out and find the spot where the jacket is torn.
• If you have a lined jacket, make a tiny slit on the lining.
• If the tear is close to a seam in this lining, you must open the seam with a seam ripper.
• You must cut a piece of the fabric that will match with the leather jacket.
• You must take a piece of the fabric which is larger than the torn area.
• You must now place a thin layer of fabric glue on the fabric. You must now place this fabric on the torn area of your leather jacket.
• You must use pressure to maintain the fabric in place till it sets properly.
• You must now let the glue dry completely.
• You must now take the leather jacket and remove the tape. You must then open the tear using the dull edge of the needle.
• You must now add a small drop of fabric glue on top of the fabric. You must then press the leather back in its place by making use of the needle.
• If you find any excess glue in the area, remove it. Now you must let the leather jacket dry for a few hours.
• You must then stitch the lining together again on the inside.
By following these simple steps you can easily repair a torn leather jacket and then use it for many more years.
How to Maintain a Leather Jacket?
If you have an expensive superior leather jacket, you will want it to last for many years. Here are tips which will help you maintain your leather jacket.
• You must apply a leather conditioner to your leather jacket occasionally. You can purchase leather conditioners from any leather store. You have to apply it on new leather jackets and at frequent intervals. This will keep the leather jacket glossy and lustrous.
• You must protect your leather jacket from moisture. If your leather jacket gets wet, leave it to dry so that it does not get spoilt.

Did anybody do the total math on the cost of the Parking Lot -Demo plus lost property taxes on3 homes? (I'm not a City Manger expert so just guessing here).S0 Home Values let's call it Three houses at @120k = $360kThree House Demo/Engineer-Analysis/Mangement/ etc etc $100kPut up a parking lot blacktop/eqpt/architect/Mangement .$250k?Conservative $3350 prop tax per house = $10k lost ANNUALLY FOREVER, (unless the Funeral Home is picking some of that up.)$360k 3 houses + 100K demo + $250k blacktop = $710k plus $10k in lost property tax annually FOREVER.And THAT might be the cheapest way to Put up a Parking Lot h/t Joni Mitchell. Didn't the brick one cost $1 mil?Looks like the Haish Memorial Library just might make that 100 years in 2031? (and by then it will be all Ipads:)
