I am the Brother of Jason K Ross who was the victim of a hit and run drveir while riding his motorcycle last year on June 7th in Seaford Deleware. He died the next morning when we had to make the decission to take him off Life support. A drveir pulled out in front of him on a mile and a half of straight hwy on a clear sunny day and they have never found the person responsible. He was a single father of his then 8 yr old son Jacob Ross. My parents who are in there 50 s are now trying to raise him. Of course Fathers day and Jacobs birthday were within a few weeks of this tragedy. I was overwhelmed by the fact that someone could do this and just leave my brother lying there. I did the only thing I thought I could do to help which was create a Face Book group page and try find the person responsible. Also we held a couple fund raisers for his son and to help with the funeral cost. We held a crab feast and a Memorial Ride. Of course the Memorial Ride was rained on by a monsoon rain and our expected over 500 riders dropped to a faithful 40+ riders. I was overwhelmed by the support in the circumstances. I will get to my reason for contacting you now after giving you some history on the situation. We are going to have another Memorial ride on June the 4th 2011. We are located In Greensboro Md Area and and I am looking for a worthy charity to donate the proceeds to in my brothers honor and wanted it to envolve a group that we could associate ourselves with that helps out the people who are injured while riding and their families if the person is killed. ReplyDeleteHow nice to see you have resurfaced. I hope you'll keep us up to date on law scoohl and marriage. One of my daughters went to law scoohl as a single mother with 2 young kids. It was a struggle, but she's a happy lawyer now.
